• Encourage your child to learn the rules and play within them.
• Do not place undue pressure on children to perform, participate or compete in athletics.
• Ensure that your child does not take unnecessary valuable items to training or competition.
• Assume responsibility for the safe transportation of your children to and from training activities.
• Attend training and competitions whenever possible
• Make sure your child arrives for training or competition at the agreed times.
• Collect your child from training or competition at the agreed time. If you or the agreed person is going to be late notify the coach as soon as possible.
• Discourage unfair play and arguing with officials
• Help your child to recognise good performances, not just results.
• Set a good example by recognising fair play and applauding good performances of all.
• Never punish or belittle a child for losing or making mistakes.
• Publicly accept officials’ judgements
• Support your child’s involvement and help them to enjoy their sport.
• Use correct and proper language at all times.
• Promote at all times Athlete Code of Conduct.
• Inform your child’s coach of any illness or disability that needs to be taken into consideration for athletic performance.
• Provide any necessary medication that your child needs for the duration of any trips
• Know exactly where your child will be at all times and who they are with leave a contact mobile or tele no in case of any emergency.
• The club officer’s volunteer’s coaches officials helpers and team managers give up their time to teach support mentor and encourage your children to succeed in athletics. Please continue to give them all the support without them we will never be able to survive as a club.
