It was the Midland Cross Country Championships at Woolaton Park. It is a top class course with tough opposition. No more so that the mighty Notts AC who had 6 finishers in the top 10 in the mens. Our top finishers were Ross Jones who was 13th in the mens and Tess who was 11th in the Ladies.

Message from Dan Brazier
Great result for the Wolves team yesterday in a strong competitive field with us earning a bronze.
At the sharp end we had (Ross, Phil, Martin, James, Hammond and Smithy) doing us proud on the day with Matt Richards backing them up being our 7th counter. A lot of good strong positive runs through out the team yet again with the old faithful and the new lads having good solid performances. Ian Pincher had to pull out due to a calf strain but should be back fighting strong for the next race all being well.
We have now medalled at every xc fixture (senior and Masters) this season apart from National level and on top of that we should win B’ham league Div 2 in a couple of weeks to add.
Great team spirit yet again, keep it up Dan.

Midland Masters XC at Aldersley Sunday 18th Jan 2015
4 ladies represented the club this year giving Audrey a team to run with, as previous years Audrey has been our only Ladies Midlands Champs lady racing in this event. The ladies had a tremendous day on very sticky home soil. Audrey finished 3rd overall winning Bronze and won Silver in her age group, Jackie won Bronze in her age group and the team – Audrey, Lucy, Jackie & Hazel won Silver Team prize. Age groups are a secret!
