Well done to everyone today who helped out and participated at Match 3 of the Midland Track & Field, Division 3. It was a very successful day for us as a club hosting the match at Aldersley, made even more enjoyable by winning the match with a considerable margin. You can download the provisional results here, but please bear in mind these have yet to be cross-checked and verified by the MCAA.

Well done to the runners who recently completed the 12 week beginners course run by Anna & Trish, many have ‘got the running bug’ now and decided to stay on and become club members. Some of the group ran the Race for Life last week, so as well as now being super- fit, let’s hope they’ve raised loads of cash for such a good cause. There are a couple of photos in our picture gallery.
The results from the first Triangular League meeting on May 20th at Aldersley, are available to download here. We are waiting to confirm the rescheduled date for the second match at DASH, cancelled due to the torrential rain. The next meeting is at Tipton Stadium on Thursday July 1st – don’t forget!
2012 Olympic Mascots, Wenlock and Mandeville, are coming to visit the Wenlock Olympian Games, on 11th July, in the afternoon.
They will be participating in prize-giving and the Fun Run for under 7’s and will be available for photographs.
P.S. Do you have any senior women athletes who would be willing to enter the Pentathlon as we have the defending champion coming from Norway, and as yet we don’t have any other competitors.
Regards Gill Davis
