Weekly update – 11th March 2026

There was a lot going on over the last couple of weeks so this double header will give you a run down of the action on the country, trail and tarmac.

There was some fast 5k action at Battersea Park in a Friday Night Under the Lights 5k where Jack Stockton raced to a rapid 15.30 for 50th place and 13th U20 in the B race, Beth Rawlinson was 35th in the Elite Women’s race in a superb 17.09. There was more action on the tarmac over double the distance in the Trafford 10k where Dan Turner led the Wolves & Bilston lads home in 117th place in 22.08, Andy Horton was 358th in 38.21 and Tony Cheema placed 362nd in 38.33. Also over 10k at Fradley, Sabrina Thomas placed 116th and 7th lady in 41.12 and Mark Perry was 461st in 51.35.

Over the half marathon distance there were some impressive performances in the North Lincolnshire Half Marathon, Jon Hart placed 5th and 1st M34 in 1.10.12, Jonny Morris was a place behind in 6th in 1.10.24. In the Kettering Half Marathon Andy Jarvis stopped the clock in 1.28.20 to take 84th place, Charlie Tait-Harris ran an impressive 1.17.26 in the Battersea Park Half Marathon, negotiating lots of pedestrian traffic on the multi lap course, to cross the line in 27th place, and in a far more exotic location in Portugal, Joe Marples clocked a 1.31.07 finish in the Lisbon Half Marathon.

Over the rougher terrain Rob Edwards placed 85th in the Action Heart Tuff Un, coming home in 1.03.50.

Over the country at Wollaton Park in Nottingham in the Inter Couties Cross Country Championships Harry Monkton and Nahum Worrall raced for Worcestershire in the U15s, Harry coming home in 99th in 14.46 and Nahum placing 306th in 17.17. Seb Palmer ran in the U13s in a Staffs vest clocking 12.04 for 113th place, and in the Senior Men’s race James Neilson placed 119th in 33.56 and Louie Lambeth was 183rd in 35.18 in the green and white of Staffordshire.

Finally, Ethan Kendrick competed at Loughborough in the Winter Long Throws competition, winning the 6k hammer with a throw of 62.84
