Ladies Cross Country Report

Trish Morgan reports on the Senior Ladies Cross Country Season 2013/14

Another great season for the Senior Ladies in the Midland Women’s Cross Country League. A good turn out of ladies on the start line, especially our 2nd league fixture on home soil being the biggest number this season with 19 ladies representing the club.

Although a few ladies missed the last fixture due to injuries we still managed to achieve what we were on target for. The ladies had been kept up to date throughout the season of our position in Division 1 and the chase for medals in the Masters League.

All Senior ladies who participated this season and represented the club should be proud of their achievements. We had a few 1st timers running in the Senior Ladies Team this year, Caroline, Gemma, Holly, Laura, Lisa, Lucy, Lyndsey, Mel and Paige. I hope ativan no prescription they will be back for more next season. We are a happy bunch of ladies who enjoy a good day out, running in the mud, earning some points and sharing a flask of hot chocolate at the end!

We achieved what we set out to do and that was to remain in Division 1, we certainly did that by finishing in 6th place. We won Bronze in the Masters and Audrey won Silver for 2nd quickest Vet behind our good friend Claire Martin from Telford A.C.
