From some of the comments I’ve received there has been a massive contribution made by Rhianne Allen in managing the team, organising athletes and running backwards and forwards between the officials to ensure results are correct.

There was more track action for the senior brigade at the Midlands Masters Track & Field Championships at Nuneaton where Greg Asbury arrived late in the day for one race and came away with a gold in the M50-55 400 metres in a time of 57.80, Lucie Tait-Harris pocketed a silver medal over 800m in the F50 category clocking 2.35.37, and went one better taking gold in the 1500m in a close race winning in a time of 5.31.02, Sabrina Thomas won gold in the W35 race over 800m crossing the line in 2.39.95 and bagged a second gold medal with a finish of 5.32.00 over 1500m, Dave Norman also doubled up bagging with a new PB of 2.50.30 over 800m in the M55 category taking 5th place, and taking a bronze medal over 1500m with a finish of 5.46.25. Ben Pilsbury placed 33rd in 39.53, Andy Dyall was 74th in 43.39, Simon Calrow 82nd in 44.13, Nat Griffiths 90th in 44.45, Emily Simmonds 129th in 46.47, our new member Ray Quinn placed 154th in 50.02, Keith Carter was 168th in 42.56¸ Vanessa Landreau Barnes placed 303rd in 49.46, Pete Campbell placed 338th in 51.41, Michelle Wilding was 388th in 54.01, Russ Blair was 435th in 56.02, Suzanne Giles 451st in 56.36, Carl Morgan was 647th in 1.01.02 and Joy Bailey placed 1076th in 1.33.23.
