Weekly update – 22nd July 2025

There has been a delay with this one as we’ve been waiting for some results for older fixtures but thanks for Noel McKakly we now have them and he’s also come up trumps with the Traingular League results, which as you read on will be something worth celebrating.

We’ll focus firstly on who did what at the ESAA English Schools Championships, in Birmingham. You may have already seen details of our exploits on the Express & Star website but for completeness we’ll start there. There were some fantastic performances at what is seen as the pinnacle of the sport for the age group and a proving ground for many athletes who go on to even greater things just appearing at the championships is an achievement. Isobelle jones won her heat in the Senior Girls 1500 in 4.28.45 and then ran 4.25.6 in the final to bag a silver medal. So, to finish off we’ll go back to the 6th July and to Stourport and tidy up those YDL results where the club finished in 4th place. There is no list of who was involved in the 4 x 100 relay but it’s safe to assume it was Theo, Roshane, James and Yaw who finished 1st in 46.6. In the ladies events the results are showing a blank for the W&B athlete who finished 3rd in the 100 U20 W A race in 13.1.
