We’ll start this weeks’ round up of results by highlighting a couple of female winners, (cowboy) hats off to Louise Hackett, who returned from her spell stateside in Michigan to claim a win in the Vic Musgrove 5k in Telford. This is part of the Sexarathon Series but always the one that those without series interest really target as it’s rapid, and to confirm that theory was won in a time of 15.00 exactly, not bad for a Wednesday night jog around Telford Town Park. Louise was 1st lady across the line in 17.41. We’ll come back to this one later. Elsewhere Lucie Tait-Harris travelled across the Irish Sea to Belfast for the Northern Ireland Track & Field Championships and doubled up in the 800m and 1500m. She came back with two gold medals in her hand luggage clocking 2.32.86 in the two lapper to place first in her age group, and then recording 5.41.91 in the metric mile for another age group victory. Dave Norman placed 4th in his age group over 800m in 2.50.55 and bagged an age group gold in the 3000m, finishing in 12.11.50.
