There was marathon action down near Milton Keynes where those looking to complete the 26.2 mile distance were faced with multiple laps of Caldecotte Lake. Not put off by the round and round route Dave Joynson finished 6th in 4.05.36, Gill Mitchell crossed the line in 23rd place in 6.06.42.And also taking the water theme there was more race action along the canal towpaths between Wolverhampton and Birmingham in the Birmingham Black Country Half Marathon where Rich Amor-Wilkes took 12th place in 1.25.33 and Tony Cheema placed 20th in 1.28.25.
