There were still things going on, but not a great deal this week so we’ll start this very brief round up overseas, sort of, in the Isle of Man where our intrepid couple again tacked the 24.2 mile distance. Dave Joynson was 1st M60 and 21st overall finishing the Altenar Isle of Man Marathon in a time of 3.30.57, Gill Mitchell bagged the 2nd F55 prize and was 73rd overall in 6.01.01.
There was some midweek action on the Shropshire fells in the Ragleth Inn Fell Race over 4.4k and 390 metres of climbing but for £7 to enter or £10 in the night this was an absolute bargain. Paul Dean took advantage of the cheap entry fee finishing in 39th place in 33.10, and Will Hughes was 47th and 1st in his category stopping the clock in 34.21.
