It was all quiet on the athletics front this week with eyes focused mainly on Paris but there was still some action if you went looking for it.
Zoleka Mzuku was in action in Nuneaton in their Night of Endurance event placing 6th in her 1500 race in 5.02.61, Tom Pryor set a new PB over 1500 placing 1st in 4.17.51, Sam Thursfield was 9th over 1500 in 4.24.98, Harry Dyall was 4th in 4.09.69, Louie Lambeth was 8th in the same race in 4.19.67.
Psalm Roberts-Nash pulled on his other vest to race for the City of Sheffield in the National Athletics League Championship Promotion Match and Cup Final placing 2nd in the 400m in a seasons best of 48.37, 5th fastest time of the day when the two races were combined. Psalm also ran a first leg in a 4 x 400 relay clocking and even quicker 48.2 contributing to a 2nd place finish for the club, only a fraction of a second behind the 1st place club with the winners stopping the clock in 3.14.06 and the runners up in 3.14.77.
And whilst on holiday Paul Marson took in the Totnes 10k, an over distance race to the tune of more than half a mile, with some brutal climbs but some stunning scenery if you could get your eyes off the floor. Paul finished in 22nd place in 45.16 (with the winner only clocking 38.39 to demonstrate the difficulty of the race).
There was also a Midland Veterans League fixture, but no results are available at the moment.
