We’ll start this week’s round up by catching up on some missing results from previously, as if there wasn’t enough going on already. This one is a bit of a monster.
First we’ll go back to the West Midlands County Schools Championships at Tipton where Aupromeyo Mukherjee placed 2nd in heat 1 of the U15M in 12.1, Michelle Okafor was 1st in 13.3 in the 100 U15W heat 2 and Kayliah Henry was 5th in the 100 for U17 in 14.3. Chyloh McKenzie was 2nd in 23.8 in the 200 U17M heat 1, Jesse Osamuyi Oni was 1st in heat 2 of the U17M 200 in 24.2. Samantha Agomoh was 1st in 26.1 in heat 1 of the 200 U15W. Amira Moulder was 3rd in 46.7 in heat 1 of the 300 U14W. Over 400 there was a 4th place finish for Nehemiah Akoanor clocking 55.4 in the U17M race. Lucas Fullwood placed 9th in 4.43.6 in the 1500 U17M. And in the high jump there was a clearance of 1.73 for Theo Nicholls for the win in the U17s event.
There was another edition of the Black Country Hammerfest where Aisha Abdullah was first in comp A1 with a throw of 46.00, Georgina Neilson threw 37.05, Amelia Hancock threw 36.68 and Vienos Abdullah threw 33.72. In Comp A2 Vienos threw 30.98, Georgina recorded 36.9, Amelia 38.8 and Aisha 45.5. And In Comp B1 Ethan Kendrick thew 54.73 in B1 and 52.69 in B2.
There was some midweek action on the Shropshire fells where Paul Dean placed 34th covering the 5.2k distance with a total ascent of 280 metres in 28.29.
There was more track action on the same night in the third fixture of the Midlands veterans League North where the club travelled to Burton for some over 35s competition. Panos Agiannitis was 6th in 15.5 in the M35 100, Ben Foster was 5th in 14.3 in the M40 100, Paul Clarke placed 2nd in 13.5 in the M50 100, Lionel Spittle was 7th in 19.6 in the M60 100 and Dave Guest took the runners up spot in 19.4 in the M70 100. In the ladies side of the competition there was a 3rd place for Louise Webster in 15.5 in the W35 100, Julia Condon was 6th in 2.3 in the W40 100, Danni Braine was 5th in 20.3 in the W50 100, Over 400 there was a 4th place in 61.0 for Danny Malone in the M35s, Paul Clarke was 3rd in 59.0 in the M40s, Greg Asbury claimed the win in 57.4 in the M50s, and Panos Agiannitis clocked 70.6 running as a guest in the M50s. Louise Webster was 3rd in 70.0 in the W35s, Veronika Foster was 3rd in 72.1 in the W40s. Over a mile there was a 3rd place for Ben Foster in 5.07.8 in the M35s, Derrick Milligan was 4th in 5.13.8 in the M40s, Paul Rogers was 2nd in5.46.0 in the M60s, and Dave Norman placed 3rd as a guest in 6.22.7. And for the ladies Sabrina Thomas was 3rd in 6.03.5 in the W35s, Emily Simmonds placed 3rd in 6.24.5 in the W40s and Danni Braine was 4th in 7.21.9 in the W50s. There was a 3rd place for Paul Rogers in the M50 2000 walk in 13.42.2, Julia Condon was 3rd in 17.32.9 in the W35 200 walk. The team of Greg Asbury, Ben Foster, Paul Clarke and Danny Malone placed 2nd in 4.12.9 and the ladies team of Sabrina Thomas, Emily Simmonds, Louise Webster and Veronika Foster were 3rdin 5.18.9 in the medley relay which involved, 200, 200,400 and a last leg of 800. There was a 3rd place finish for Greg Asbury in the M50 pole vault with a clearance of 1.60, Lionel Spittle won the M70 long jump with a leap of 2.40, Danny Malone placed 4th in the M35 triple jump with 7.91, Veronika Foster was 4th in the W35 triple jump with 6.71. In the throws there was a 2nd place for Dave Baggott with 8.31, Duncan Davies was 3rd with 21.00 in the M60 discus, Dave Baggott also took 2nd with 26.54 in the M50 hammer, Danni Braine was 6th with 9.17 in the W50 hammer, it was good to see Adrian Dillon competing again, placing 6th in the M35 javelin with 25.78 and Louise Webster won the W35 javelin with 22.23.
There was an early start to the weekend for Mark Perry who took part in Friday night’s Blakdown Bolt over 10k placing 84th in 57.02. Dave Norman was 50th in 44.37 in the Wythall & Hollywood 10k and there was more 10k action in a far more exotic location of Pamplona in Spain where Joe Marples took part in the San Fermin El Calcetin coming home in 42.58 in blisteringly hot conditions to take 28th place.
Back on the track some of the younger members of the club took part in the Mason Trophy in Stoke, the results have some athletes listed under their counties and others are listed under their clubs so I apologise if I miss anyone. There is a strange result over 100 in the U15W where Samantha Agomoh has been given 25.78, Thillana Owen placed 1st in 13.37 in the 100 U15W A race, Michelle Okafor was 2nd in 13.27 in the 100 U15W B1, Chyloh McKenzie was 2nd in 23.36 in the 200 U17M B1.
Isoobelle Jones was racing at Loughborough in the BMC Grand Prix World Athletics Challenger meeting where she competed in the 1500 A race against some top female stars placing 7th in 4.20.88.
And in the Midland Masters Outdoor Championships at Nuneaton we were amongst the medals with Greg Asbury taking gold in the M50 400 with 57.39 and pocketing and silver in the M50 200 in 25.42, Gary Worall also bagged a silver medal in the M35 800 clocking 2.13.11, Albert Earle won gold in the M65 triple jump with 8.89.
We’ll finish off with the Triangular League results that I’ve managed to get hold of by other means as they aren’t on Power of 10 yet. Ocean Schloss placed 1st in 11.6 in the 75M U11G A race, Isla Gaunt was 1st in the 75m U11G B race in 12.1, Chloe Cashmore-Jones was 2nd in12.5 and Holly Doody took 3rd in 13.2 in the 75M U11G NS race. And in the second non scoring race Abigail Evans was 1stin 12.6 and Isabelle Davies was 2nd in the same time in the 75M U11G. In the boys races Farrel Sogbesan won the 75M U11 B A race in 10.8, Jenson James Bowen was 1st in the 75M U11B in 11.9, Samuel Worral was 1st in the 75M U11B NS race in 11.9, Isaac Heinke was 1st in the 75m U11N NS in 11.7, Jett Dixon was 4th in 13.7 in the same race. Samuel, who appears to have no surname in the results, won the 75m U11B NS race in 11.6, Mason Trevatt was 3rd in 12.1 and Edison Bowden placed 4th in 12.5 in the same race. Isabelle Bowden was 2nd in 9.5 in the 50M U9G NS, Phoebe Tett was 3rd in 10.0 in the same race. In the 50M U9G NS there was a 1st for Naveah Maxwell in 8.4, Ruby Petford was 2nd in 9.5, and Aiyana Hirons was 3rd in 9.5. In the 50M U9B NS there was a 1stplace for Lucan O (that’s all the results are telling me) in 8.2, Noah Oxley placed 3rd in 8.7 in the same race. In the 50M U9B NS Henry Shaw was 1st in 8.5, Reggie Petford was 2nd in 8.9 in the same race. In the 100M U13G A race Willow Dixon took 1st place in 14.4, In the 100M U13G B race Orla Ouli was runner up in 15.3, in the 100m U13G NS Sophie Pilsbury was 2nd in 16.7 and Anaiya Patel placed 3rd in 17.5. In the 100M U13B A race Callum Hamilton took the win in 13.8.
In the 600M U9 Lucas O was 1st in 2.02.9, Henry Shaw was 2nd in 2.16.2, Noah Oxley 3rd in 2.16.6, Reggie Petford 4th in 2.22.0, Isabelle Bowden 5th in 2.23.0, Aiyana Hirons 7th in 2.30.8, Naveah Maxwell 8th in 2.32.6 and Phoebe Tett placed 9th in 2.36.5. in the 600 U11G there was a win for Abigail Evans in 1.59.7, Chole Cashmore-Jones was 2nd in 2.00.2. In the 600M U11G NS Ocean Schloss placed 1st in 2.00.6, Isla Gaunt 2nd in 2.05.6, Holly Doody 3rd in 2.14.8 and Isabelle Davies 4thin 2.22.9. In the 600M U11B race there was a 2nd place finish for Isaac Heinke in 1.54.9, George Shaw placed 3rdin 1.58.4, Samuel Worrall was 6th in 2.04.2 and Joseph Blunt was 7th in 2.04.5. In the 800m U13G Biba Guest took 1st place on 2.39.5, Charlotte Rogers 3rd in 3.05.1, Sophie Pilsbury 4th in 3.11.8 and Anaiya Patel was 8th in 3.28.2.
In the relays there was a 2nd place in 34.2 in the 4 x 50 u11G, a 1st and 3rd place in the 4 x 50 U11B in 34.4 and 36.3 respectively, and there was a win for the U13 girls in the 4 x 100 in 63.5.
In the field events Callum Hamilton won the U13B long jump with 4.29, Isabelle Davies was 2nd in the U11G discus with 7.39, with Isla Gaunt 4th with 6.49, Abigail Evans 5th with 6.41 and Holly Doody 6th with 5.48. In the U11B long jump George Shaw was 1st with 3.64, Farrel Sogbesan was 2nd with 3.41 and Mason Trevatt was 3rdwith 3.19. Seth Owen-Stuart was 10th with 2.62. And in the U11G high jump Shaylen Walsh placed 1st with 0.90, in the U13G event Charlotte Rogers was 2nd with 1.05 and Orla Ouli 3rd with the same height. In the U11B discus George Shaw placed 2nd with 11.55, Jenson James Bowen 4th with 8.84, Evan Nash 6th with 7.55, Jett Dixon 8th with 7.07. In the U11G long jump Shaylen Walsh was 4th with 2.52. In the U11B high jump Farrell Sogbesan cleared 1 metre for the win and in the U13B discus Callum Hamilton continued his busy afternoon with 4th place with a throw of 9.76. And finally, phew, Orla Ouli won the U13G long jump with a leap of 3.62 with Charlotte Rogers coming 4th with 3.20.
